I started in Adventure racing 6 years ago by winning the Edinburgh Rat Race, since then I have gone on to do races all over the world, with some great success. I love getting outside doing some outdoor activities in the middle of no where. Racing with a team is great fun, the events are tough but the banter with your team mates can get you through anything. I love map reading too, so the combination of doing all the sports I enjoy with great people in fantastic places make Adventure Racing a perfect sport for me. Being in the wild with little sleep and minimal kit with only your own decisions to get you to the end makes it a true challenge.
